About the Health Coach

My name is Hilary Stewart, and I am the founder and health coach of Rediscover Wellness LLC, located in Winston-Salem, NC.

I empower men and women, overwhelmed with responsibilities, to rediscover themselves in order to make realistic, sustainable, long-term, self-desired wellness changes so they can feel happier, healthier, and more energized in their days.

Our needs change as we age, as do our life circumstances. When we focus on our responsibilities, such as our family or our work, we often spend less time fulfilling our own health needs.

When it comes to achieving optimal health, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. We all come from unique life experiences and we all have different needs based on our current health and duties. We also have different desires, values, needs, and skills. As a health coach, I meet individuals where they are, and together, we turn current challenges into future successes.

Health coaching is more than just getting you "healthy".  It's about learning who you are now, what you want, and how you want to get to your future health goals. My role as a health coach is to guide, motivate, and empower you along your wellness journey so you can not only reach your goals, but continue to make best wellness decisions that align with your values.

My previous work as a Certified Dental Assistant as well as my science-based educational background taught me that taking care of your health greatly improves your overall well-being. When you give your body what it needs, your physical health is strengthened and you feel better. As a result, your relationships flourish, your focus improves, your energy is enhanced, and you develop a positive self-image. I believe all of these elements together truly make you thrive.

I hold a Master Health Coach Certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, which is partnered with the American Council on Exercise, recognized by the American Medical Association, and accredited by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. My education focused on evidence-based coaching methods to support behavior change and advanced health education on chronic disease and disease prevention, all with a client-centered approach. Additionally, I obtained two life-stage certifications through the institute: one to support health for families with children (L.E.A.N. Start) and another to provide health education for adults of all ages (Prime Time Health).

Beyond my Health Coach Certifications, I have a Diploma in Dental Assisting from Forsyth Tech where I graduated top in my class. Afterwards, I completed my certification through the Dental Assisting National Board. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My diverse educational background and continual pursuits toward additional learning has helped me to better understand the complexities of human health and well-being. Because of my experiences, I approach health coaching with a holistic and evidence-based perspective.

When I'm not coaching, I enjoy staying active and challenged by Pilates, strength training, and cardio. In the kitchen, I eagerly experiment with nutritious whole-food dishes and healthier baked goods to win the taste approval of my family. I love sharing quality time with my family and friends, delighting in the outdoors, tending to outdoors plants, reading, participating in local networking opportunities, helping others, and cherishing the funny and adorable moments with my fur-babies- a 12-year-old Shih Tzu and a 10-year-old Australian Shepherd mix.
